The WC race will be organized by “Vårgårda Cykelklubb” which was started by the legendary brothers Gosta, Erik, Strue and Tomas Pettersson 1961. They won the world championships, in team time trial 1967 – 1969 in addition to several Olympic medals. Vårgårda Cykelklubb has been very successful through the years and have developed several champions in different cycle disciplines. The club has close to 100 active members and has developed Vårgårda to become the center of cycling in Scandinavia.
